Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. She was best known as Skyler on AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 & 2014. Other roles she has played are Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in the Preparatory School she attended before her family moved to Ohio in the late 1970's. Theatre studies was in the theatre department at Northwestern University. A semester was completed at the British American Drama Academy. Anna worked in Chicago's theatre for many years prior to taking on film and television roles. In 1992 Anna landed her first big role in the role of Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. As a guest-star, Anna appeared in Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. In fact, it was not until the end of the 1990s that she took on an acting role on The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood during two complete seasons. Skyler played Martha Bullock as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully, the Deadwood film and other films included her. Gunn was also in the David Schwimmer directed the film Sex With Strangers. The actress, in 2022, also appeared in a series of audio-play podcast titled Numbered Days. The love story with Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the narrative on Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and its eventual demise arguably mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final days of life.
