Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds a distinguished chair in psychology within the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name has been recognized as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses and eyewitness memories within legal contexts. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive, she has received numerous grants, and has been the winner of many honors international and national levels. She has advised many government agencies and governments around the globe on policies and studies pertaining to child victims of the law by the system. Additionally, she provides consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of several professional associations which include those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families policy and practice.
